COVENTRY/FIRST HEALTH CONTRACT AMENDMENT

Coventry Health Care Inc. (Coventry) recently acquired First Health Group Corp. The CAP/First Health contract is amended to give you access to the (ASO) line of business that is now called the Coventry Network (former First Health business). For information about Coventry visit their website at www.coventrynational.com

Beginning January 1, 2007, Coventry will re-issue new patient ID cards bearing the name Coventry Health Care to replace the current First Health Direct cards.

Visit the Coventry website at www.coventrynational.com  to see sample copies of Coventry and First Health ID cards. 

In addition, you have the opportunity to gain access to rental business that will now be called the First Health Network (former CCN business). Coventry is integrating their different network rental companies and will begin to use the “First Health” name to specifically distinguish this line of business for all rental networks, including group health, workers compensation and auto liability. As of January 1, 2007, the following networks will be consolidated under the First Health name:  CCN, Healthcare Value Management and PPO Oklahoma. In the Austin market, the CCN network will be the network with the most significant impact on your practice.

You should have received an opt-in contract with rates giving you the opportunity to participate in these networks. If you have not and you are interested, please give me a call and I will fax you the opt-in contract. Thank you for your participation in CAP.
